The FEV300 test adapter set with type 2 connector is designed to test the operation and safety of charging stations, mode 3, for charging AC traction batteries. The adapter imitates an electric vehicle and starts a charging cycle, activating the voltage/current output, allowing you to perform tests in combination with suitable measuring instruments such as an installation tester (Fluke 1664 FC) and/or an oscilloscope (Fluke 120B series). With the adapter set, charging stations can be tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61851-1 and IEC/HD 60364-7-722.
Use the FEV300-CON-TY2 Type 2 plug to connect to an EV charging station Type 2 with a wall outlet or connect to an EV charging station Type 2 with a vehicle connector. Perform various tests including earth fault checks, wire insulation, voltage measurement and duty cycle to see the max current available for charging an all-in-one adapter that can be safely integrated into the Fluke portfolio of test and measurement tools. With the FEV300, you can simulate CP fault (E) and PE fault (earth fault) and it offers separate phase indication with three LED lights to easily check if voltage is present. No need to bring an electric vehicle on site for fault finding at the charging station: the adapter acts as an electric vehicle when connected to a charging station for easy performance and maintenance testing.
